Edgewater Home and Garden

In 1977, Chuck Ness decided to move his family out of the chaos of Southern California and back to his home state. Basing their relocation upon the idea that they wanted to purchase a greenhouse, Chuck and family moved to historic Portage, WI.

Outgrowing 2 locations, we built our existing garden center in 1998. Continual growth, and never ever becoming content in our circumstances, we strive to embrace the trends, hold on to the traditional, and ever improve. In doing so, a natural transition occurred when in 1998 we introduced Edgewater Landscaping. Edgewater Landscaping, a full service landscape division of Edgewater Home and Garden, offers everything you need for a beautiful home, from to scale design plans, and installation of your landscape, waterscape, patios, or walls.

Our success as a garden center, we feel, is based primarily upon your success. Education is the key to this. We have an active seminar schedule, as well as monthly expo days that focus on single topics. Our year long event calendar is full every month, and many of our days have become traditions for many of our customers. From Premier Night, Customer Appreciation Night, and Seminars to our Fall Salsa and Apple Desert contests, and Oh Tannenbaum Christmas tree decorating contest with the area schools, our customers look forward to what is happening next at Edgewater.

Edgewater Home and Garden has strived to deliver service above and beyond our customer’s expectations. Our professional staff continues to promote superior plants, products, and services in our relaxed, friendly hometown setting.

We thank our loyal customers and the community for their support and dedication throughout the years. We look forward to building new relationships and invite you to visit our store for an exceptional shopping experience.
