Continue picking leaf lettuce, and replant for fall harvest.
Pick Summer Squash, and Peas
Continue to harvest your herb plants, allowing them not to go to flower will prevent woodiness and parts you cannot use.
Check Broccoli every few days for flower buds. They quickly will bolt on you with warm weather.
Provide 1 inch of water each week.
Fertilize leafy vegetables, Sweet Corn and root crops when they are half their mature size.
Fertilize Blossom crops when they start to produce fruit.
You can still plant in summer, but special attention is required. Mulch your plants heavily with 2 to 3 inches of woodchips or bark. Pay special attention to watering, making sure that the top 6 inches of soil stay slightly moist.
Be on the look out for any insect or disease problems that you may have. Catching them early is the best way to avoid permanent damage.
Prune any evergreens new growth that you want to control for shaping purposes.
Water your lawn, remembering that it needs 1 inch of water per week. Watering in early morning will prevent any diseases, or sun damage.
