Before: This space was adjacent to the space that the pond and patio were installed in the previous gallery. The homeowners had used this space as a transition space for plants from their other gardens. They wanted to connect this space to the pond and patio and replace the fire pit that they had lost in another part of their yard.
After: We created a fire pit patio area here. The Airy seatwalls echo what were used on the pond/patio area and the pillars give some height as well as a formal feel in the garden. The built in seat, provided a backdrop for the large patio as well has being functional.
After: This angled shot shows more details of the seat bench.
After: The fire pit is sunken into the patio with a slightly higher lip to give it presence.
After: The curve of the patio is accented with the airy seat wall, which adds an additional element to the fire pit area as well as seating.
After: Looking back at the patio area you can see how the spaces connect and work together.
