Before: In this project we were presented with a very shady spot where it was difficult to grow grass, both because of the shade and because of salt run off in the winter.
After: We used buffers of a decorative rock to absorb the salt run off instead of trying to grow plants or grass there. It looks interesting and does the job. Then planting beds were carved out and filled with shade plants and red mulch to accent the building.
After: The extreme trouble spots under the locust trees became planting beds and the rest of the lawn was seeded with a heavy shade mixture.
